Tools Required

  • Pentalobe screwdriver (P2)
  • Tri-point Y000 screwdriver
  • Phillips #000 screwdriver
  • Suction cup
  • Plastic pry tools / spudger
  • Tweezers
  • iPhone 8 LCD replacement screen

Replacement Process

  1. Power off the iPhone
  2. Remove two pentalobe screws at bottom
  3. Use suction cup to gently lift display from bottom
  4. Screen hinges at top - open like a book
  5. Disconnect battery (on right side)
  6. Remove display brackets and disconnect cables
  7. Transfer Home Button/Touch ID to new screen
  8. Transfer earpiece and sensors
  9. Install new display
  10. Test Touch ID before sealing

Touch ID Warning

⚠️ CRITICAL: The Home Button with Touch ID is paired to your iPhone. You MUST transfer your original Home Button to the new screen. A replacement button will work as a button but Touch ID will NOT function.
