Step 2: Create Opening Gap
Place suction cup on the lower portion of the display. Pull up firmly while pushing down on the frame to create a small gap.
Step 3: Separate Display
Insert an opening pick into the gap. Slide along the left edge, then around the rest of the phone.
Step 4: Open Display
Carefully swing the display open from the left side, about 90 degrees. Don't pull too hard - cables still attached!
Step 5: Disconnect Battery
Remove the 4 tri-point Y000 screws from the battery connector bracket. Remove bracket and disconnect battery with spudger.

Remove the 3 Phillips screws from the display bracket (two sizes - note positions). Disconnect:
- Front sensor assembly connector
- LCD connector
- Digitizer connector
- Home button connector (below screen)
Step 7: Remove Home Button
This is the most important transfer - your Touch ID is here!
- Remove 4 Phillips screws from home button bracket
- Carefully peel the home button flex cable from the display
- Lift out the home button
Step 8: Transfer Components
Move to new screen (if not pre-installed):
- โ Home button (Touch ID) - REQUIRED
- Earpiece speaker
- Front camera
- Metal shield plates
Step 9: Install & Test
Connect new display cables in reverse order. Reconnect battery. Power on and test:
