First — Try a Software Reset
Most HomePod mini problems are software-side. Before paying anything:
- Unplug the HomePod mini for 30 seconds, plug back in
- If unresponsive: hold the top touch surface for 10 seconds until you hear a chime + see a red rotating light
- If still unresponsive: open Home app → long-press HomePod tile → Settings → Remove Accessory → re-add fresh
- For audio glitches: Settings → Sound → toggle Spatial Audio off and back on
About 50% of 'broken' HomePod minis are fixed by reset.
