Mail-In Repair Service by PC Medics of NJ LLC

1. Service Agreement
By submitting a repair request form and shipping your device to PC Medics of NJ LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you ("customer," "you") agree to these terms and conditions. This agreement governs all mail-in repair services provided by PC Medics of NJ LLC.
1.1 Service Authorization
- You must complete our online repair form before shipping any device
- Wait for email approval with shipping instructions (typically within 2 hours)
- Devices sent without prior authorization will be refused and returned at sender's expense
- You must be 18+ years old or have parental consent to use our services
2. Diagnostic & Repair Process
2.1 Free Diagnosis
- We provide free diagnostic evaluation of your device
- Diagnosis typically completed within 24 hours of receipt
- We'll email you the exact repair cost before proceeding
- You may decline repair at no charge (return shipping fees apply)
2.2 Repair Authorization
- Repairs only proceed after your explicit approval via email
- Payment required before repair work begins
- Typical turnaround: 3-5 business days after approval
- Complex repairs may take longer (we'll notify you of delays)
2.3 No Fix, No Fee
If we cannot successfully repair your device, you pay nothing for labor. You're only responsible for shipping costs.
3. Warranty Policy
90-Day Limited Warranty
All repairs are covered by our 90-day warranty from the date of service completion. This warranty covers:
- The specific repair performed
- Parts we installed
- Our workmanship
3.1 Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does NOT cover:
- New, unrelated issues that arise after repair
- Damage from accidents, misuse, or liquid exposure after repair
- Issues caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Software issues unrelated to our repair
- Normal wear and tear
- Devices that have been opened/modified after our repair
3.2 Warranty Claims
- Contact us immediately if you experience issues with our repair
- Ship the device back with proof of original repair
- We'll repair or replace defective parts at no charge
- Customer pays shipping for warranty claims
4. Shipping & Handling
4.1 Shipping to Us
- Customer is responsible for safe packaging
- We recommend insuring shipments for device value
- We're not liable for damage during inbound shipping
- Include repair authorization number in package
4.2 Return Shipping
- Devices returned via FedEx/UPS with tracking
- Standard return shipping: $15-25 (based on location)
- Insurance included up to $500 value
- Higher value devices require additional insurance (customer cost)
5. Liability & Limitations
⚠️ Important Limitations
Data Responsibility: You are responsible for backing up all data before shipping. We are not responsible for data loss during repair.
Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the repair cost paid or the current market value of your device, whichever is less.
5.1 What We're NOT Liable For
- Data loss or corruption
- Loss of use during repair period
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
- Pre-existing conditions discovered during repair
- Damage during shipping (file claim with carrier)
5.2 Device Abandonment
- Devices unclaimed for 60 days are considered abandoned
- We'll attempt contact via email and phone before disposal
- Abandoned devices become property of PC Medics of NJ LLC
- No refund for abandoned devices
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Accepted Payment Methods
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
6.2 Payment Policy
- Full payment required before repair begins
- Quotes valid for 7 days
- Prices subject to change if additional issues discovered
- No refunds once repair work has begun
7. Privacy & Data Security
7.1 Information Collection
We collect only necessary information to provide repair services:
- Contact information (name, email, phone, address)
- Device information (model, serial number, issues)
- Payment information (processed securely, not stored)
7.2 Data Protection
- We never share your personal information with third parties
- Device passcodes are used only for testing and deleted immediately
- We don't access personal files unless necessary for data recovery services
- All customer data is encrypted and stored securely

8.2 Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Camden County, New Jersey.
9. Specific Device Policies
9.1 Water Damaged Devices
- Water damage repairs have lower success rates (60-70%)
- Corrosion may cause future failures even after successful repair
- We cannot guarantee long-term reliability of water damaged devices
9.2 Micro-Soldering & Board Repair
- Complex repairs requiring specialized equipment
- Success rates vary by specific issue (70-95%)
- Some board-level damage may be irreparable
9.3 Data Recovery
- No guarantee of successful data recovery
- Partial recovery may be possible when full recovery isn't
- Recovered data provided on USB drive or cloud transfer
- Additional fees for drives over 32GB
10. Agreement Modifications
- We reserve the right to update these terms at any time
- Current terms at time of service submission apply
- Major changes communicated via email to active customers
- Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms
