๐Ÿ“ก Step 1: Turn Bluetooth On

  1. Click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar (top-right)
  2. If it says "Bluetooth: Off", click Turn Bluetooth On
  3. Wait 5-10 seconds for devices to appear

๐Ÿ”„ Step 2: Forget and Re-Pair Device

  1. Click Bluetooth menu โ†’ find the problematic device
  2. Click the "x" or "Remove" button next to it
  3. On your Bluetooth device (AirPods, mouse, etc.), put it in pairing mode
  4. Go to Bluetooth menu and wait for the device to appear
  5. Select it to pair

๐Ÿ”ง Step 3: Reset Bluetooth Module

  1. Click Bluetooth menu and look for an iPhone/iPad option showing your other Apple devices
  2. Next to it, click the "x" to disconnect
  3. Turn Bluetooth OFF (click menu โ†’ Turn Bluetooth Off)
  4. Wait 10 seconds
  5. Turn Bluetooth back ON
  6. Wait 15 seconds and try pairing again

๐Ÿš€ Step 4: Reset Bluetooth Preferences

  1. Open System Settings โ†’ Bluetooth
  2. Remove all devices by clicking the "x" next to each one
  3. Close System Settings
  4. Hold down Option + Shift, then click the Bluetooth menu
  5. Click Reset the Bluetooth module (this option only appears when holding Option+Shift)
  6. Confirm the reset
  7. Put your Bluetooth device in pairing mode and pair it again

โšก Step 5: SMC Reset

  1. Shut down your MacBook Air
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Power on and immediately hold Control + Option + Command + Power for 10 seconds
  4. Release and let it boot normally
  5. Try Bluetooth again

  1. Apple Menu โ†’ System Settings โ†’ General โ†’ Software Update
  2. Install any available updates
  3. Restart
