Universal Clipboard lets you copy something on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad and paste it on another Apple device. It syncs across your ecosystem automatically via iCloud.
- Requires all devices signed into same iCloud account
- Requires Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth active on all devices
- Works across Mac, iPhone, and iPad only (not Apple Watch)
- Clipboard data syncs via iCloud servers securely
✅ Fix #1: Verify iCloud Sign-In
- Go to System Settings → [Your Name]
- Make sure you're signed in — you should see your Apple ID email
- Check that iCloud is enabled
- Do the same on iPhone/iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
- All devices MUST use the same Apple ID
📶 Fix #2: Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- On Mac: Control Center → Wi-Fi ON, Bluetooth ON
- On iPhone/iPad: Settings → Wi-Fi → ON, Bluetooth → ON
- All devices should be on the same Wi-Fi network or paired via Bluetooth
- Wait 10-15 seconds for them to sync
🔄 Fix #3: Force iCloud Sync
- On Mac: System Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud, toggle off one feature, wait 10 seconds, toggle back on
- Restart each device if syncing still doesn't work
- After restarting, try copying and pasting across devices
