Person Search
- Photos identifies faces automatically
- Open Photos → People & Pets album → tap face → 'Add Name'
- Photos tags every other photo with that face
- Search 'Mom' returns all Mom's photos
- Even baby photos auto-link as kid grows up
Location Search (Find Restaurant Receipts)
Type 'Florence' → all Italy trip photos. 'Apple Park' → all photos at Apple HQ. Even 'McDonald's' returns burger photos at any McD's. Uses EXIF GPS data automatically.
Live Text in Photos
iOS 15+ reads text inside any photo. Take a photo of a receipt, restaurant menu, business card — search for words inside the photo. 'pasta' returns the menu photo from Roman trattoria. Magic.
Combined Searches
Type 'beach Mom 2018' → narrows to Mom's beach photos from 2018. Or 'Paris dinner' → restaurant photos in Paris. Multi-criteria search is incredibly fast and on-device.
Visual Look Up
Open any photo → tap (i) → 'Look Up'. Identifies plants, animals, landmarks, art, products. iPhone tells you what you're looking at. Saved 100+ Google searches.
