Google Fi plans
Simply Unlimited $50/mo unlimited 5G, 5GB hotspot, 100 country roaming. Unlimited Plus $65/mo unlimited 5G, 50GB hotspot, 200+ country roaming, premium streaming bundle. Per-line pricing — multi-line discount minor.Killer feature — international
Google Fi includes data in 200+ countries at no extra cost. Same speeds as US plan. NO daily roaming fees. NO data charges. This is THE international plan. Frequent international travelers: Google Fi pays for itself in 1 trip vs $10/day TravelPass alternatives.US coverage reality
Google Fi runs on T-Mobile in US (used to be multi-network, now T-Mobile only). T-Mobile coverage: strong urban, good suburban, improving rural. Same coverage as paying T-Mobile $80/mo. Same de-prioritization possible during congestion.iPhone setup
Google Fi app on iPhone. Sign up via app. eSIM QR code generated. Scan with iPhone, activates in 5-30 minutes. Number ports 1 hour-1 day. Google Fi app for billing + management.Apple Watch cellular caveat
Google Fi has limited Apple Watch cellular support — works but not as smooth as carrier-matched plans (Mint, Visible). Watch features may have rough edges. If Apple Watch is critical, prefer Mint or Visible+.vs T-Mobile direct international
T-Mobile Magenta MAX includes international roaming similar to Fi. Cost: T-Mobile $90/mo. Google Fi: $65/mo. Fi cheaper if you don\'t need T-Mobile premium features. Both work for travel.Switching process
Standard MVNO switch: account + PIN, sign up Google Fi via app, eSIM QR scan, activate. Number ports 1 hour-1 day. Old carrier cancels. iPhone reboots, iMessage syncs.Best fit + alternatives
Google Fi best for: frequent international travelers, simple unlimited plans, Google ecosystem users. Skip Google Fi if: domestic-only user (Mint or Visible cheaper), Apple Watch critical (Mint or Visible better), heavy Apple ecosystem user (Big 3 integration smoother).Mail-In Repair Service
