Shop Parts โ๐ Steps Overview
- Remove bottom Pentalobe screws
- Heat and separate display
- Disconnect battery
- Remove Taptic Engine
- Remove speaker
- Disconnect charging port flex cables
- Remove port bracket screws
- Remove old charging port assembly
- Install new port assembly
- Reassemble in reverse order
โ ๏ธ Try First: Clean the Port
Before replacing, try cleaning debris from the port:
- Use wooden/plastic toothpick (never metal)
- Shine flashlight to see debris
- Compressed air at angle
- 80% of "not charging" issues are just lint!
