📋 Steps Overview

  1. Remove Pentalobe screws at bottom
  2. Heat edges and separate display
  3. Disconnect battery before other work
  4. Remove battery connector bracket
  5. Apply heat to soften battery adhesive
  6. Pull adhesive tabs slowly
  7. Remove old battery
  8. Install new battery with fresh adhesive
  9. Reconnect all cables
  10. Reseal display

  • Pull adhesive tabs slowly at low angle to avoid breaking
  • If tabs break, apply isopropyl alcohol under battery
  • Never pry directly on battery — puncture risk
