iPhone 13 Pro Not Charging

🔍 Step 1: Identify the Symptom

• No charging indicator: Cable, adapter, port, or deeply depleted battery
• "This accessory may not be supported": Non-MFi Lightning cable — replace
• Stuck at 80%: Optimized Battery Charging — intentional
• MagSafe clicking on/off: Metal in case or thick case reducing alignment
• Charges wired but not MagSafe: MagSafe-specific issue — focus on that path

🧹 Step 2: Clean the Lightning Port

4+ years old means lint accumulation is likely in the Lightning port:

1. Power off completely
2. Wooden or plastic toothpick only — never metal
3. Flashlight inspection — dense grey/brown lint at the port back
4. Gently scrape lint toward the opening
5. Compressed air to clear residue
6. Cable should now click in firmly

🔌 Step 3: Test Cable and Adapter

1. Try a different MFi-certified Lightning cable
2. Use a 20W USB-C PD adapter minimum for fast charging
3. Try a different wall outlet

🧲 Step 4: MagSafe Troubleshooting

• Metal items in case: Remove case, test MagSafe directly on phone back
• Thick cases: Switch to Apple MagSafe or certified thin case
• Dirty back or puck: Clean both with dry cloth
