Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

Step 13: Clean the Battery Compartment

Remove any remaining adhesive residue from the battery compartment. Use a plastic spudger to gently scrape away old adhesive. The surface should be completely clean and smooth. If there's any moisture or corrosion visible, clean it with a cotton swab and 90% isopropyl alcohol, then let it air dry completely (at least 15 minutes).

Step 14: Apply Fresh Adhesive Strips

Position new adhesive strips in the battery compartment exactly where the old ones were. Most quality replacement batteries come with pre-cut adhesive strips. Align them carefully with the pull-tabs pointing toward the top for easy future removal. Press down firmly to ensure strong contact.

Step 15: Install the New Battery
