⚠️ iPad mini 6 Specific Warnings
Extremely thin bezels
The mini 6 has the smallest bezels of any iPad. There's almost no margin for error when inserting picks. Use ultra-thin picks only.
Compact internal layout
Everything is packed tightly. Work slowly and don't force anything.
Touch ID in power button
Good news: Touch ID is not part of the display, so no biometric transfer needed.
"Jelly scrolling" is normal
Some display lag during fast scrolling is a known characteristic of the mini 6's display controller, not damage. Your new screen may exhibit this too.
💡 Pro Tips
- The mini 6 is one of the hardest iPads to repair — seriously consider professional service
- If your LCD still works (just cracked glass), professional repair may save the LCD
- Use a magnifying lamp — small components are hard to see
- Take lots of photos during disassembly
