🔍 Step 1: Diagnose the Problem

• No charging indicator: Cable, adapter, or depleted battery
• "Not Charging" in status bar: Adapter wattage below screen-on power draw
• Charges slowly: Low-wattage adapter — upgrade to 20W+
• Stuck at 80%: Optimized Battery Charging — intentional

⚡ Step 2: Charger Requirements

iPad Air M2 battery sizes:

• 11-inch M2 Air: 28.65Wh — minimum 18W USB-C PD; comfortable at 20-30W
• 13-inch M2 Air: 36.59Wh — minimum 20W USB-C PD; recommend 30W+
• 5W phone charger: "Not Charging" with display active on both sizes
• Fast charging: Both support up to 35W fast charging via USB-C PD

🔌 Step 3: USB-C Cable

1. Use the cable included with your iPad Air M2 — rated for full Power Delivery
2. Look for cables labeled USB-C PD rated at 60W+
3. Avoid thin/generic USB-C cables — may cap at 5-7.5W regardless of adapter
4. Try a completely different cable to isolate cable failure

🧹 Step 4: Clean the USB-C Port

2. Wooden or plastic toothpick only — never metal
