📋 Repair Process
  1. Power off completely
  2. Heat edges — start with top edge, work around
  3. Create gap with suction cup, insert picks
  4. Work around perimeter — leave picks in place
  5. Lift digitizer carefully — cables on right side
  6. Disconnect battery before other work
  7. Disconnect digitizer cable
  8. Remove and transfer home button
  9. Clean frame thoroughly
  10. Install home button on new digitizer
  11. Apply adhesive and connect new digitizer
  12. Test before sealing
  13. Seal and test again
🔧 Common Issues

LCD damage during removal

The LCD sits right under the glass. Use shallow picks and don't pry too deep.

Touch ID not working

The home button flex cable is delicate. If damaged, Touch ID is permanently lost.

Apple Pencil not working

Make sure digitizer supports Apple Pencil. Some cheap replacements don't.
