📱 Which Devices Support Apple Intelligence?

Apple Intelligence requires specific hardware — not every Apple device can run it. Here is the full compatibility list as of April 2026:

iPhone

Why the restriction? Apple Intelligence requires at least 8GB of RAM and a Neural Engine powerful enough for on-device AI inference. Older A-series chips simply lack the processing power.

Genmoji

Create custom emoji from text descriptions. Type a description like "cat wearing a cowboy hat riding a skateboard" and Apple Intelligence generates a unique emoji you can send in messages or use as stickers.

Clean Up in Photos

Remove unwanted objects, people, or distractions from photos with a single tap. Circle the object you want gone, and the AI fills in the background naturally. Similar to Google's Magic Eraser but built into Apple Photos.

• Private Cloud Compute: When a request requires more power than your device can handle, it is processed on Apple Silicon servers. Your data is never stored, never accessible to Apple, and independently auditable.
