🔍 Understanding How AirTags Work
AirTags don't have GPS or cellular — they use nearby Apple devices to anonymously report their location. This means:
- Updates only happen when another Apple device passes nearby
- Rural or low-traffic areas = slower updates
- Indoors with few Apple devices = limited tracking
- Precision Finding only works with iPhone 11 or newer (U1 chip)

- Wait for Update: In low-traffic areas, updates can take hours or days. The timestamp shows when an Apple device last detected it.
- Check Your Internet: Your iPhone needs internet to receive location updates from the Find My network.
- Force Refresh: In Find My app, pull down on the Items list to refresh.
