AirPods Pro 2 One Side Not Working

🔄 Step 1: Reset Both AirPods Pro 2

Most one-side issues are software glitches:

1. Place both AirPods in case and close lid
2. Wait 30 seconds
3. Open case and place AirPods near iPhone
4. Open Settings → Bluetooth and tap info (i)
5. Tap Forget This Device
6. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for 15 seconds until white light blinks
7. When prompted, re-pair with iPhone

Is both sides working now? You're done. If one side still silent, continue.

📱 Step 2: Check Volume Balance in iPhone Settings

1. On iPhone, open Settings → Accessibility → Audio/Visual
2. Check Mono Audio — is it ON? Toggle OFF if yes
3. Scroll down to Balance slider — is it centered? Drag to middle if skewed left or right
4. Go back to Bluetooth and test audio

🔌 Step 3: Clean the Silent Earbud

1. Remove the silent earbud from case
2. Look at the small speaker holes on the bottom/front — are they blocked?
3. Use a soft dry cloth or cotton swab to gently clean the speaker vents
4. Wipe the charging contacts (gold pins on bottom) with a dry cloth
5. Place back in case and test

📱 Step 4: Update AirPods Firmware

1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth, tap info (i)
2. Check for and install any available firmware updates
3. Keep AirPods and iPhone close during update

⚙️ Step 5: Try the Earbud in the Other Ear

1. Place the silent earbud in the opposite ear
2. Does it produce sound in the other ear? If yes, it's a hardware issue with the earbud itself
3. If no sound in either ear position, it's likely a connectivity or internal audio failure

🏥 Step 6: Check Earbud Battery

1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth and tap info (i) next to AirPods Pro 2
2. Check the battery percentage shown for both earbuds
3. If one earbud shows significantly lower (or 0%), it may be failing
