AirPods Pro 2 Not Charging

🧹 Step 1: Clean the Charging Contacts

Dirty contacts are the #1 cause:

1. Remove AirPods Pro 2 from case
2. Look inside the case for the three gold charging contacts (on each side and bottom)
3. Wipe each contact with a dry cotton swab or microfiber cloth
4. Check AirPods Pro earbuds for gold contact pins — wipe those too
5. Place AirPods back in case and check for charging indicator (amber light)

Does the amber light appear? You're done. If not, continue.

🔌 Step 2: Try a Different Charging Cable and Adapter

1. Use a different USB-C cable and power adapter
2. Try different outlets and USB hubs
3. Try charging case wirelessly if available (newer models)

📱 Step 3: Forget and Re-Pair with iPhone

1. On iPhone, open Settings → Bluetooth
2. Find AirPods Pro 2 and tap the info button (i)
3. Select Forget This Device
4. Place case near iPhone with lid open
5. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until it blinks white
6. Follow pairing prompts on iPhone

⚙️ Step 4: Update AirPods Firmware

1. Open Settings → Bluetooth on iPhone
2. Tap info (i) next to AirPods
3. Check for firmware update and install if available
4. Keep case and iPhone close during update

🏥 Step 5: Check Case Battery

1. Place AirPods in case and close lid
2. Wait 30 seconds — does charging indicator light appear?
3. If case has no battery (no LED light), the case battery is dead and needs replacement
